Course Description:
This course covers various aspects of the Lube industry. It covers Friction, Wear and Lubrication, Lubricating Base oil, Lubricant Additives and classification of Lubricants. It further explains Automotive Engine oils such as, Passenger Car Motor Oils, Diesel Engine Oils, Natural Gas Engine Oils, Small Engine Oils and Automatic Transmission Fluids. Industrial Lubricants such as Hydraulic Oils, Gear Lubrication, Compressor and Vacuum Pump oils, Steam Turbine Oils, Synthetic Lubricants, Biodegradable lubricants are covered in detail. Quality aspects of Lubrications are covered in Blending, Quality Control and Lube Recommendations module.

Pre-requisites:
Diploma / degree in engineering or B.Sc graduates.
