Online Teaching:
There are many methodologies of online teaching. The most frequently used are here under:
Live Virtual Classroom (LVC): A classroom where the physical classroom does not actually exist. Students are connected to the Internet and communicate through special software and webcams. The lecturer is responsible for presenting learning material online and coordinating classroom activities just in the same way he or she would in a physical classroom.
Web Based Training (WBT): A course delivered through the internet and web-based software. The course shall be either in animated form or in diagram format.
Video Based Training (VBT™): A course delivered in video format through the internet and web based software. This is a very proprietary format, specific to GOLS and we have a patent filed for this method of teaching online. (US Patent Application No. 11/710,331).
Audio Based Training (ABT): A course delivered in a self paced audio interactive format through the internet and web based software. This is a very proprietary format very specific to GOLS and we have a patent filed for this method of teaching online. (US Patent Application No. 11/710,331).
VBT™ / ABT shall have the following three parts:
- One section displays slides related to the lesson. It has "Previous" and "Next" buttons built-in. User can navigate in between slides using these buttons.
- Video (in case of Video Based Training) and faculty's photo image (in case of Audio Based Training). This section displays streaming video related to the lesson.
- In course question (with feedback): objective type questions related to the lesson at designated interval of time.
